Happy 2015 everyone! I hope the new year is off to a great start for you. I cannot believe it has already been a week since we left New York City. I know I’ve talked about it before but I just adore that city.
Our trip to NYC also marked Charlotte’s first vacation. She did great! We primarily carried her around in the Baby Bjorn but I also used my Solly Wrap a couple of times. There were a few ‘witching hour’ instances but overall I couldn’t have imagined a more successful trip with a two month old.
Marty and I plan to head back this summer (most likely Charlotte will accompany us) and then once again after Christmas as tradition (sans Charlotte.)
Diane’s Recommendations:
- Siggy’s (NoHo): Oh my goodness! Can we just talk about this menu? I could not make up my mind. So many delicious options. I ended up ordering the curried butternut squash soup + live earth salad (plus a few bites of Marty’s salmon burger + sweet potatoes.) I cannot wait to eat here again during our next trip (I only wish there was a comparable restaurant in Columbus!)
- Land Thai Kitchen (Upper West Side): Delicious! I ordered the Drunken Noodles (wheat noodles, tomato, thai basil, snow pea, bok choy, chili puree) and highly recommend.
- Saigon Shack (Central Village NoHo) : We stumbled upon the Saigon Shack during our last trip to NYC and it was just as good as I remember. Vegetarian pho = best I’ve ever had. Seriously. This place doesn’t look like much on the outside but they do a killer business and once you eat here – you’ll see why!
